Hello, Y'all
The end of 2017 brought around not just a new year but some new beginnings for myself and Southern'spirations. I have hinted at this for the last couple of weeks or so, but to properly articulate my thoughts on this new chapter I wanted to write an official blog post.
Here is a little background for anyone new or anyone that wants a simple refresher, I graduated from High Point University, May 2015 and by August of that same year I had packed up everything and moved to Birmingham Alabama to start my industrial science career. I learned in that first year that I loved science education (yup I'm a nerd) and trying new experiments, but doing the same methodical tasks every day was not for me. I am grateful that last January I had the opportunity to blend my science degree with my real passion, marketing. And in 2017, I accomplished more than I could ever imagine, from coordinating an international trade show booth to introducing and managing new website content.
Mid-December I decided that it was time to take my career into my own hands and make my dreams become a reality! I am so grateful for the love and support that I have been showered with lately. To the friends, family, and fellow bloggers that I have told the story to already, I say thank you. Thank you for loving me and making me feel confident at such an exciting yet unnerving time.
Of course, we never know how the future will play out, but I am excited to give my dreams a chance. And have faith that everything will work out the way it is supposed to. Now it's time to try my creative entrepreneurial skills and start my own business! This little corner of the internet has become so important to me, and I am excited to announce that it is expanding to incorporate my passion for marketing! On February 5th, Southern'spirations Marketing will launch! I have a desire to help others reach their dreams, and I want to provide budget-friendly marketing services and consulting to other creatives and businesses. More details will come to follow in the coming weeks, but I am too excited not to share! And if you have a small business or if you're starting a business and want help with your branding, digital marketing, social media marketing, or any other marketing needs then please contact me! I can't wait to help your business dreams come true!!
And don't worry, I plan to continue expanding the blog and other aspects of the Southern'spirations brand - starting with the new look. Take a second a play around on the new site and maybe even do some shopping! 2018 is going to be the best year yet!
