The Hearne Wedding

Hello, Y'all!

As the Southern’spirations creative services keep evolving, this year has brought about several great opportunities to take on wedding clients, and I am so excited to finally share the custom invitations I designed for Bradley and Bridget's wedding!

Back last spring, Bridget contacted me about creating an herb, wildflower inspired invitation, and I was pumped! I love the concept of using wild flowers and herbs instead of traditional florals. They are perfect for a summer wedding in South Carolina and add a timeless touch of whimsy, especially for such a fun couple.

For the wedding paper, I focused on the couple’s fun eclectic style with a mix of boho meets art deco — a mix that I am now obsessed with!

I loved working with Bridget and am so appreciative of the opportunity to be a part of their special day.

“Working with Rebecca to create one-of-a-kind invitations for our wedding was such a great experience! I told her my ideas, and she brought them to life in such a unique and creative way. You will not regret working with her!” - Bridget

Curious about the process? Custom anything can feel overwhelming at first — especially with so many options to choose from. I strive to make it easy by understanding your style, theme, and preferences just as I do my branding clients.

To get started on Brigdet’s invitations, I had her share her wedding Pinterest board with me, and then I went to painting rosemary, lavender, and more. After finishing the original watercolor, I headed to find the perfect font.

One of my favorite things is finding new fonts for custom projects and making each piece uniquely tailored to each client’s taste and needs. And for the Hearne wedding, I found the perfect font pair that matched the art deco style of the venue and had a balance of clean lines and feminine curves to blend with the wild style of the herb border.
