Southern'spirations: Newest Adventure
Y'all have no idea how hard it was to keep this a secret for the last month or so, and I did spill the beans to a select few, but now it is blog official! On Monday, April 1st Southern'spirations will have a retail space at Fleur De Lis here in Hartsville South Carolina, Booth 23!!
Here is a little back story on how this all came to be. Back while I was in college, my mom started a shop, Rebecca's Attic, where she sold up-cycled furniture and other home decors. I loved helping her, going to auctions and arranging the shop pieces. Fast track to moving home last October she had a booth space here in Hartsville and I enjoyed helping her again. We talked for a couple of months about my dreams of having a space to display and sell my art and trying to figure out a possible business. In February we started talking more seriously about the endeavor, and with the fantastic support of my parents, we started planning! And after working endless hours, putting in blood, sweat and a couple of tears we are ready to open Monday!!
One of the main products in the space is my original art pieces and prints. These prints include some South Carolina, Hartsville and Charleston art among others, plus fun bright abstracts. We are also selling other Soutern'spirations creations along with items from our hand selected wholesalers. My mom has a wonderful eye and gift for giving furniture a new life, making each piece special. She also has a knack for upholstery and sewing projects. So all the furniture has been finished by her skilled hand, and many of our pillows are also original creations (find the Southern'spirations tag on items in the store that are our creations.)
I want to say a big thank you to her for all the help she has been as we get close to opening. It has been a blast working on everything from shopping, set up and pricing with my mom and I can't wait to share success with her as well.
And without further ado and why you clicked on this blog post...the pictures!! * We are going live Monday morning at 10 am from the booth to share more details and answer any questions!*
**For right now we do not have an online store to make sure we can keep up with the shop inventory first, but if you are interested in a piece of art, or a little something, always email or direct message us on Facebook, and we may be able to ship!**
Blessings from Hartsville,
