Hello Y'all!
I fought through the Nordstrom website issues and outages to share for the first time my picks for this annual phenomenon. It was also my first time shopping the sale, in Birmingham, we sadly do not have a local store, and I haven't been a Nordstrom fan girl until recently. After looking through the sale this morning, I now understand all the hype! The items are not last season's pieces or previous year's overstock but instead are for this upcoming Fall! That is right, they are on sale before hitting the rack! And then after the sale, they will go back to their full price. Everything from riding boots to winter coats is on sale. From today until the 19th the sale is only open for Nordstrom Card holders, but on the 20th it will be open to everyone looking for a deal and fresh look for Fall 2018!
I went through all of the items and here to share with you my top picks and what things ended up in my cart. When looking through the pieces, I picked pieces that have classic finishes and wardrobe stapled that you could wear for years to come. I have been on the look for a great dark pair of jeans and loved the Sierra Skinny Jeans, so I had to give them a try! Another classic piece that ended up in my cart was a tan button skirt, which will match everything in my closet as I transition to Fall. I have a full sweater collection but could help but get the bold color striped sweater. It was love at first sight! Another piece was a lose fitted tee shirt in teal, great for layer this Fall but also high right now in the Alabama heat! The only shoes I got from the sale, because I have enough shoes, was the blue and white tasseled flats. I needed them. The last piece was a beautiful Kate Spade beige tote, my mom and I got matching ones, in honor of our favorite fashion icon. I plan to do a full haul and review of the items once they make their way to Birmingham.
