Holiday Gift Baskets

Hello, Y'all!

**Mom and/or Dad, Holiday spoilers ahead!**

The best part of the holiday season is celebrating with the ones you love. If you are playing hostess to your favorite people this year, what better way to share your appreciation for their visit than with a little basket of goodies! I grew up with my mom always making gift baskets for our house guests, and I was so excited for her first visit to Birmingham so that I could return the favor and share a little Southern hospitality with her.

A gift basket may seem like a little extra work during an already busy season but it does not have to be! For my parents upcoming Thanksgiving visit, I found almost everything I needed at my local Target. A great basket should be filled with your guests favorite things but should also have a nice balance of sweet treats, salty snacks, and a special memento or two.

Keep reading to see what I picked for my parents Thanksgiving gift basket this year!

My dad loves sausage with cheese and crackers, so when I found the Hickory Farm gift box for only 10 dollars I had to get it! Salty snacks. Check! I know that he will enjoy the snack box while watching some rivalry football games next weekend. For something sweet, I picked out my mom's favorite candy, M&Ms, and some yummy Milo cookies. To finish off the yummy treats, I added some mini Coke Zeros which is my parent's go-to soda choice. As a bonus, Target has put all the Holiday themed treats together to literally make this basket the easiest one yet!

For the "basket" this time, I went with a festive bag and tissue from the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection currently at Target. I love their use of plaid and dark green throughout the holiday pieces. The Hearth & Hand collection is so amazing it made it very hard to pick up just one bag and tissue paper! My mom loves the show Fixer Upper with Chip & Joanna Gaines so I knew she would enjoy this bag and paper more than a simple basket.

The last items added to the gift basket were several new Christmas ornaments I picked up on my last trip to the mountains of Georgia. Every year my mom picks out new ornaments for each member of the family for the tree. This year I wanted to return the favor!

I can not wait for them to get here! And I wish you and your family safe travels during the week ahead!

Blessings from Birmingham!
